Tax Specialist

A growing accounting firm is seeking an experienced Enrolled Agent (EA) / Tax Preparer to join its in-office team. This role focuses on the preparation and review of complex individual, trust, and business tax returns, with opportunities for year‑round client engagement and collaboration across financial and legal professionals.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical tax knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.

• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns, including Forms 1040, 1041, 1120, 1120S, and 1065.
• Support tax planning, compliance activities, and responses to IRS correspondence.
• Collaborate with fiduciaries, attorneys, and financial advisors on client matters.
• Ensure timely filings and adherence to applicable tax regulations.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and accuracy across all client and financial information.

• Active Enrolled Agent (EA) or CPA credential in good standing.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional tax preparation experience.
• Experience with tax preparation software such as Drake, Ultra Tax, or similar platforms.
• Working knowledge of Quick Books preferred.
• Experience with trust and estate taxation is a plus.
