This is a professional fiscal position within the Finance Budget section of the Florida Department of Health in Collier County. The Budget Analyst performs complex budget development, financial monitoring, reporting, and analysis under the supervision of the Finance and Accounting Director. Responsibilities include preparing and monitoring budgets, overseeing budget entries in financial systems, conducting quarterly budget meetings, monitoring revenue and expenditures, and providing training and support to program managers on fiscal processes.
Keyqualifications
- Experience with budget development, financial monitoring, and fiscal analysis
- Proficiency with financial systems such as FIRS, FLAIR, MFMP, CONMAN, and PLAM
- Strong analytical and communication skills for preparing financial reports and providing guidance to staff
- Experience with payroll, accounting codes, and grant management
- Ability to handle confidential information and comply with security protocols
