Senior Consultant – CDBG-DR
At Eisner Amper, we look for individuals who welcome new ideas, encourage innovation, and are eager to make an impact. When you join our Government Services Practice you’ll be responsible for supporting complex CDBG‑DR programs in a compliance or policy‑related role.
Position may be fully remote or hybrid, depending on location near one of our local offices.
What Work You Will Be Responsible For:- Support CDBG‑DR consulting engagements, including planning, execution, and delivery.
- Assist clients in maintaining compliance with the Universal Notice, Stafford Act, 24 CFR 570, 2 CFR 200, and other applicable regulations and Federal Register notices by researching and interpreting relevant regulations.
- Help clients design and implement disaster recovery programs that meet all eligibility requirements, including analyzing eligibility of costs and activities and the National Objective.
- Determine method of program implementation and program design.
- Draft and/or evaluate grantee Action Plan Amendments to ensure compliance with CDBG‑DR regulations.
- Develop policies and procedures that comply with all relevant regulations and the grantee's Action Plan.
- Ensure timely and accurate development of all client deliverables.
- Actively engage in business development activities such as participating in conferences and responding to requests for proposals, including the identification and review of funding opportunities and development and submission of proposals.
- May be required to occasionally work extended hours and travel to or from different firm offices and/or client locations.
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of successful CDBG‑DR grant management experience in a compliance or policy‑related role.
- Strong policy background, including 2 CFR 200 and 24 CFR 570 compliance requirements, as well as applicable Federal Register Notices.
Qualifications:
- Experience with pre‑award, post‑award, and closeout processes for CDBG‑DR grants.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
