Job Description:

The Histology Technician demonstrates critical thinking skills, judgment, and proficiency in the practice of all technical procedures in accordance with standards set by applicable regulatory agencies including CAP, TJC, CLIA, AABB, and OSHA. Testing is provided for patients with varying degrees of clinical conditions and different acuity levels. Testing is provided for all age ranges from newborns to geriatric patients.
Responsibilities:
Perform gross examination and dissection of all specimen types and sizes.
Document and report findings as per regulatory standards.
Maintain equipment and laboratory safety procedures.
Float between campuses as needed.
Requirements:
FL license
ASCP certification
5+ years of experience
Ability to gross all specimen types, including breast, colon, full organ, and complex oncology cases.
