The Department of Allied Health Sciences at SWOSU seeks a Medical Laboratory Technician Instructor for the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters. The role involves teaching, student mentoring, curriculum development, and participation in departmental activities under minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver instruction in MLT courses and labs, creating active learning opportunities.
- Develop course and lab content using effective teaching methodologies.
- Communicate and collaborate with the MLT Program Director and faculty.
- Maintain expertise in medical laboratory technology and teaching pedagogy via seminars and workshops.
- Participate in professional organizations and service activities.
- Support student activities, including advisement, mentoring, and career guidance.
- Assist with student recruitment, enrollment management, and other departmental tasks as assigned.
Required:
- Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or Allied Health.
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS).
- Clinical laboratory experience.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Previous teaching experience.
