Salary Range: $80.00 – $90.00 per hour. This position is paid per visit as follows:
- Evaluation: $85.00
- Re‑evaluation: $80.00
- Routine Visit: $80.00
- Discipline Discharge: $85.00
- Discharge Oasis: $90.00
Required schedule:
Monday – Friday 8:30am–5:00pm with weekend rotation.
The Registered Occupational Therapist will provide diagnostic evaluations and treatment to assigned patients, helping them reach maximum performance level and use skills learned to function in the community within the limits of their capabilities.
Job Duties- Provide OT services prescribed by the physician that can be safely provided in the home, including initial and ongoing assessment to determine level of functioning, including OASIS assessments at appropriate time points (G333, G336).
- Develop and revise the plan of care in consultation with the physician and other care team members (G162, G186).
- Provide therapeutic treatments and evaluate equipment needs as applicable.
- Advise and consult with family and other agency personnel regarding medical equipment, home exercise programs, safety issues (G143, G188).
- Prepare clinical and progress notes (G187).
- Evaluate outcomes of care.
- Supervise Home Health Aides as appropriate (G190).
- Plan for discharge.
- Conduct oneself in a professional manner whenever representing the company.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance.
- Participate in in‑services and quality assurance activities.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from an accredited OT program.
- One year of home health experience.
- Valid Florida Driver’s License.
- Florida Occupational Therapist License.
- Valid CPR Certification.
- Computer skills: basic typing, data entry, word processing, database, e‑mail.
- Language: ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals; respond to inquiries; present information to management, public groups, and boards.
- Mathematical: ability to work with basic mathematical concepts; apply percentages, ratios, and proportions.
- Reasoning: ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
The employee regularly sits, uses hands to finger, handle, or feel, talks or hears, stands, walks, reaches with hands and arms, occasionally stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls. Must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WorkEnvironment
The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level is usually moderate.
