** Job Summary*
* The Director, Cath Lab is responsible for the overall leadership, direction, and management of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, including planning, organizing, and overseeing all administrative, operational, and clinical activities to ensure efficient and effective delivery of quality patient care. This role works closely with hospital leadership and cardiology teams to support excellence in patient outcomes, regulatory compliance, and continuous process improvement within the Cath Lab department.

** Essential Functions*
* + Directs daily operations of the Cath Lab, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality and patient-centered care.

+ Partners with cardiologists, anesthesiologists, nursing leaders, and other departments to optimize patient flow, procedure scheduling, and utilization of lab resources.

+ Oversees clinical performance metrics and implements data-driven strategies to improve patient outcomes, reduce procedural delays, and enhance throughput.

+ Collaborates with Quality, Risk Management, and Infection Prevention teams to maintain compliance with The Joint Commission, CMS, and other regulatory bodies.

+ Develops and implements staff education programs in collaboration with clinical educators to ensure ongoing competency and professional development within the Cath Lab team.

+ Monitors and evaluates patient satisfaction, staff engagement, and physician feedback to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

+ Serves as the primary liaison to hospital administration and medical staff, providing updates on departmental performance, strategic initiatives, and resource needs.

+ Leads department readiness for surveys, inspections, and audits; ensures compliance documentation is complete and up to date.

+ Performs other duties as assigned.
