Medical Front Office Coordinator – Behavioral Health
OPA Behavioral Health is seeking a Medical Front Office Coordinator – Behavioral Health to join our outpatient psychiatry practice in Naples, Florida
.
We are looking for a professional, organized, compassionate, and detail-oriented individual with experience in a medical office, healthcare administration, front desk, or patient services role. The ideal candidate enjoys helping patients, supporting providers, and creating a welcoming experience in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Responsibilities- Greet, welcome, and check in patients with professionalism and warmth
- Serve as the primary front desk medical receptionist and patient access point
- Schedule and manage patient appointments and provider calendars
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits through the verification team
- Communicate with patients via phone, email, and text messaging
- Answer, screen, and route incoming calls and electronic messages
- Maintain accurate patient records in EMR systems
- Scan, upload, and organize clinical documentation
- Process medical records requests in a timely manner
- Handle clerical tasks including faxes and email correspondence
- Collect co-pays and payments; complete daily reconciliation logs
- Coordinate referrals and patient care coordination support
- Take basic vitals (weight, height, blood pressure) daily
- Administer Urine Drug Tests (UDTs) as needed in accordance with provider orders, clinic protocols, and compliance standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front lobby area
- Support compliance, documentation, and general administrative needs
- Assist with check-out processes
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards
- Conduct local marketing and outreach to physician offices, clinics, hospitals, and community providers to expand OPA Behavioral Health's presence in the Naples area as needed
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical office, behavioral health office, or front desk medical receptionist role preferred
- Experience as a Medical Assistant, Front Office Medical Assistant, Medical Receptionist, or Patient Services Representative strongly preferred
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Professional and compassionate approach with patients
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Ability to verbally de-escalate and reason in a calm and respectful manner
- Autonomy skills and teamwork skills are vital for this role
- High school diploma or equivalent required

$23.00 per hour
Full-time | Monday–Friday
No weekends | On-site position
