Job Location:

Salary: $53.00 hourly (paid per visit). Mileage reimbursement at 72.5 cents per mile.
Job SummaryThe Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) delivers physical therapy treatments to patients in accordance with the Plan of Care under the direct supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The role is essential in helping patients regain mobility and function within the comfort of their own homes.
Responsibilities- Administer physical therapy treatments as prescribed in the patient’s Plan of Care developed by the Physician and Physical Therapist.
- Monitor and document the patient’s response to therapy and the overall effectiveness of services.
- Continuously assess the home environment for safety hazards and recommend modifications to enhance patient safety.
- Educate patients and family members on exercise programs, use of assistive devices, and home safety practices.
- Identify the need for additional services or disciplines, communicate with the supervising PT, and refer as appropriate.
- Evaluate social, emotional, and physical factors affecting the patient’s condition and report findings to the supervising PT.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings; contribute to care plan updates and problem‑solving discussions.
- Immediately report adverse changes in the patient’s condition to the supervising PT and/or RN Case Manager.
- Complete all assigned visits and documentation in a timely and professional manner.
- Attend mandatory in‑services and continuing education to maintain current clinical skills.
- Uphold patient privacy and security in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support quality patient care and agency operations.
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
- One year of clinical experience in a home health care setting preferred.
- License:
Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of Florida. - Valid CPR Certification.
- Valid Florida Driver’s License.
