Salary Range: $17.00 To $17.50 Hourly
Our team is seeking a dynamic and energetic individual to join our growing Dermatology & Facial Plastic Surgery practice. The person in this position is part of the team concept in The Woodruff Institute’s health delivery system, which is devoted to the delivery of the highest quality dermatologic and aesthetic care in an outpatient clinical setting, with emphasis on personalized, quality care in an elegant environment.
The Appointment Scheduler assists patients on the telephone, schedules appointments, gather accurate demographic information and insurance information, and registers patients.

- Provide patient-centered customer service
- Answer multi-line telephone
- Schedule patient appointments using the computerized scheduling system
- Scheduleappointmentsto best meetthe needsof the patient in adherence withour providers’schedule and availability
- Reschedule andcancel appointmentsasneeded
- Verify insurance eligibility
- Register patients, verifyand updatepatientdata,prepare necessary confirmation letters, welcomepacketsand formsto send to patients,as assigned
- Strictly adhere to HIPAA rules to maintain patient confidentiality

Work environment
Very fast-paced environment. This is a primarily sedentary position requiring long periods of sitting, talking with a headset and looking at a computer monitor.

Required education and experience
- A High School diploma or GED required
- Customer Service experience
Preferred Education and experience
- One-three years as a Medical Scheduler
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records and Medical Scheduling software
Additional eligibility requirements
- Ability to speak, read and write English.
Work authorization/security clearance requirements
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and provide the necessary documents of identification and authorization.
