Overview
We are currently searching for a Dev Ops Engineer to support our client located in the Naples, Florida area for a temp-to-hire position. This is a hybrid position
, and the selected person will need to work onsite.
The Dev Ops Engineer will lead the CI/CD transformation and establish modern automation practices across our engineering organization. They will be responsible for building robust CI/CD pipelines using Git Hub Actions, migrating legacy manual and Jenkins-based deployment processes to fully automated workflows, and establishing Dev Ops best practices for cloud-native applications on AWS.
Responsibilities- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Git Hub Actions for new and existing applications.
- Lead the migration of manual deployment processes, Jenkins-based workflows, and Azure Dev Ops Pipelines and releases to automated Git Hub Actions pipelines.
- Implement automated build, test, and deployment processes for .NET and Java applications, React front-ends, and cloud infrastructure.
- Integrate automated testing (unit, integration, and end-to-end tests) into CI/CD pipelines.
- Implement automated security scanning (SAST, DAST, dependency scanning) as part of the build process.
- Design and implement deployment strategies including blue-green deployments, canary releases, and rolling updates.
- Automate Infrastructure as Code deployments using AWS CDK and Cloud Formation in CI/CD pipelines.
- Establish best practices for Git Ops and version control workflows.
- Configure and manage deployment to multiple environments (dev, test, UAT, production) across AWS services including Lambda, ECS, EKS, EC2, and serverless architectures.
- Implement secrets management and secure credential handling in CI/CD workflows using AWS Secrets Manager and Parameter Store.
- Automate compliance validation and security checks in deployment pipelines (PCI-DSS, SOC2 requirements).
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- 5 years+ of experience in Dev Ops, release engineering, or related roles
- Demonstrated expertise in building and managing production CI/CD pipelines in enterprise or SaaS environments
- Proven track record of implementing automation and improving deployment processes
- Experience with multiple CI/CD platforms and migration projects
- Proficient with Git Hub Actions, including workflows, actions, runners, and secrets management
- Strong experience with Jenkins and ability to migrate complex Jenkins pipelines to modern CI/CD platforms
- Hands-on experience with Azure Dev Ops and understanding of migration strategies
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, Power Shell) for automation
- AWS certifications strongly preferred (Dev Ops Engineer Professional, Solutions Architect, or similar)
- Experience in the Fin Tech industry or financial services sector
- Experience in regulated environments (PCI-DSS, SOC2, HIPAA)
- Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools beyond AWS CDK
