Position OverviewAs the Head of Technology & E-Commerce, you will lead the overarching digital and enterprise technology strategy. This is not an administrative “armchair” executive role; it requires a hands‑on technical operator who can balance high-level architecture and cross‑functional business strategy with deep‑dive technical execution.
You will manage a nimble internal engineering team, oversee cloud infrastructure, and take ownership of a lean, high‑performing e‑commerce tech stack. Your immediate priorities will center on architecting decoupled data pipelines, automating operational workflows with AI, transitioning outsourced dependencies in-house, and upgrading data analytics capabilities to supercharge lead conversion and sales enablement.
Key Responsibilities- Strategy & Architecture:
Own and evolve the global technology roadmap, evaluating and optimizing systems architecture, data pipelines, and core cloud infrastructure. - E-Commerce Performance:
Drive the evolution of the digital customer experience, ensuring maximum uptime, scalability, and seamless front-to-back integration. - Revenue Enablement:
Partner closely with sales and marketing leadership to improve lead routing, conversion metrics, customer analytics, and revenue operations. - Practical Automation:
Advance and implement practical, measurable AI and automation workflows across the business to accelerate operational execution. - Team Leadership:
Foster a high‑accountability, high‑trust engineering culture, maximizing the talent of a tight‑knit technical team while managing elite external vendor relationships. - Security & Infrastructure:
Oversee all cloud environments, IT operations, and corporate cybersecurity strategies.
- Leadership Track Record: 8+ years of progressive technology leadership experience, ideally within fast‑paced, growth-oriented businesses.
- Roots in Engineering: A foundational background in software engineering, with strong, contemporary technical fluency, cloud environments, and data architecture.
- E-Commerce Stack Mastery:
Proven experience scaling robust enterprise e-commerce platforms and cloud frameworks (experience with open-source ecosystems is highly preferred). - Data & Integration Fluent:
Demonstrated expertise in complex application integrations, CRM systems, customer‑data platforms, and building decoupled data pipelines. - Business Acumen:
Exceptional communication and executive presence, with a proven ability to translate complex code and architecture into clear financial and operational business outcomes.
