The County Attorney’s Office is seeking a paralegal/legal assistant to provide support to assigned attorneys; litigation support including court filings, drafting, and discovery; research and review ordinances, resolutions and supporting materials; perform legal research; assist attorneys in the preparation of legal opinions; effectively research County records; prepare correspondence in a variety of situations; review Board of County Commissioner agendas; perform general administrative functions to include fiscal work in SAP, payroll and accounting documents;
maintain calendars for assigned attorney; schedule meetings; compliance with public records and records retention laws; perform general/clerical tasks which may include greeting visitors, answering phones, making copies, sending/receiving faxes; etc. Litigation experience preferred. Must possess a high school diploma or GED; college level course work is preferred; possession of a certified paralegal certificate is preferred; equivalent experience in local government law/legal setting is preferred; experience processing financial documents and/or working in SAP or similar financial system is preferred.
