Overview
North Naples Church is accepting applications for the position of full-time Facilities Services Coordinator. The Facilities Services Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Facilities department in all operations related to the campus that includes a large church and PreK–12th grade school. This role works collaboratively as part of a team to maintain the overall condition and appearance of the 23-acre campus.
ResponsibilitiesSystems, Equipment, and Maintenance
- Understand and assist with management of all systems, including technical operations and current best practices related to irrigation, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and security.
- Coordinate the repair of machinery, equipment, and electrical and mechanical systems.
- Assist the Director to manage contractors for preventative maintenance and repair or replacement of systems.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance in multiple trades (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, lighting, HVAC, painting, irrigation) as needed to ensure work orders are completed timely and competently.
- Respond to issues related to campus systems and collaborate with safety and security and other staff for emergencies, incident reporting, and remediation of physical problems contributing to the emergency.
- Assist with the set-up and break-down for special events and large services.
Building, Landscape, and Hardscape
- Monitor grounds and condition of buildings, landscaping, and hardscape for property with multiple facilities and spaces.
- Routinely tour buildings, inspect and diagnose issues, check on occupants and facilities, and recommend immediate and long-term solutions; record items in a log and prioritize repairs or improvements.
- Develop and manage a preventative maintenance and inspection plan to provide safe, clean, and well-maintained facilities.
- Maintain records to support preventative and predictive maintenance approaches.
- Work with safety and security personnel to resolve facility security issues and day-to-day upkeep of spaces.
- Assist the Director with planning, administering, and controlling budgets for contracts, equipment, and supplies.
- Assist with preparation and review of operational reports and schedules for accuracy and efficiency.
Project Coordination
- Assist the Director with all projects, maintain documentation, and prepare progress reports and recommendations.
- Understand capital and maintenance budgeting, collaborate with the Director to prepare requests for proposals, seek qualified vendors, review proposals and scopes of work to select vendors and contractors.
- Assist with cost-saving strategies without sacrificing quality and ensure budgetary constraints are followed.
- Oversee construction and renovation projects to improve efficiency and ensure facilities meet environmental, health, and security standards and comply with regulations.
- Participate in strategic planning to optimize space utilization and future use of campus space.
Compliance
- Assist with facilities compliance programs including fire systems and inspections, elevator inspections, kitchen equipment inspections and maintenance, waste management and recycling; coordinate with safety and security staff for AED, lockdown, and lightning alert systems as needed.
- Conduct annual accessibility audits and develop recommendations for improvements as necessary.
- Ensure projects are properly permitted and in compliance with local, state, and other regulatory guidelines and best practices.

RequirementsQualifications, Education, and/or
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience in a Facilities leadership role of similar size and scope.
- Demonstrated strong facilities project management knowledge and experience.
- Strong background in performing routine maintenance in a commercial environment.
- Requires regularly working afternoons and weekends, with the flexibility to work some evenings, and the ability to meet vendors and handle unplanned issues that arise outside of the normal workday.
