Golf Course Superintendent

Essential Job Functions:

• Effectively lead, direct, oversee and participate in golf course maintenance with our team members, ability to gain trust and respect from our staff.
• Supervise operation, maintenance and repair of all equipment
• Lead, train, and motivate staff through effective communication and leadership
• Ensure all operations comply with applicable regulations and safety standards
• Promote a strong culture of employee safety, morale, and professionalism
• Maintain accurate and daily records and logs for compliance
• Communicate daily with Director of Agronomy on course conditioning and maintenance programs
• Works with Director and other management members in developing, scheduling, implementing and overseeing activities relating to daily course operation
• Oversee irrigation system, daily irrigation set up and monitoring course conditioning with irrigation
• Develop staff members through training and cross training programs and safe operation of all equipment
• Having a culture of accountability and ownership and have the ability to demonstrate that to staff members
• Willingness to think, learn, and grow outside the normal situations.

• 2 or 4 year degree in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, or related field
• Prior golf course management or assistant superintendent experience
• Current pesticide license or ability to obtain within 6 months
