! The General Manager directs and oversees all aspects of Club Operations including activities and relationships between members, guests, associates, and community. The successful candidate must deliver a high-quality member experience, provide a Troon hospitality culture.

Compensation
: $150,000 annually

Ideal candidates have a genuine passion for property management and leadership. As General Manager, you will be responsible for directing and administering all aspects of the operation, including coordination and administration of the property’s policies and procedures. Previous supervisory experience is a requirement for the position.

Ideal candidates have flexible schedules with availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

The General Manager will be the ambassador to the Esplanade culture. Life at an Esplanade community provides unique opportunities centered around meaningful connections, signature resort-style amenities and curated programs to invigorate the Mind, Body, Spirit.

Responsibilities
  • Prepares and monitors annual budget, revenue goals and expenses as well as generating various (weekly, monthly, etc.) business volume forecasts – managing the budget and what the board has outlined for the yearly loss/breakeven point.
  • Monitors monthly and other financial reports/statements on a daily, weekly and monthly basis for the facility and takes effective corrective action when necessary.
  • Establishes basic personnel policy, initiates and establishes basic personnel policy, initiates and monitors policies relating to personnel actions and training along with professional development programs.
  • Partners with the Golf Course Superintendent and coordinates golf operations and agronomy needs.
  • Oversees the food & beverage, lifestyle, and wellness departments.
  • Manages HOA/Board and developer relationships.
  • Continues initiatives for community growth, amenity expansions, and opening new facilities.
  • Ensures all Human Resources procedures and policies are followed by management staff.
  • Develops, maintains, and administers a sound organizational plan and initiates improvements as necessary – including capital planning and asset management.
  • Attends workshops and meetings to keep abreast of current information and developments.
  • Oversees the care and maintenance of all the facility’s physical assets and each individual facility.
  • Coordinates marketing programs to promote the facility’s services to potential customers.
  • Ensures the highest standards for food and beverage service on property.
  • Implements policies and procedures for multiple departments, including compliance with all company standards relating to quality of products and services.
  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Directly manages department members.
  • Assures that each new Associate receives effective orientation and training.
  • Develops and implements ongoing training programs.
Education, Certification, & Experience
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years’ related experience as General Manager at a club.
  • A four-year college degree is preferred but not required.
  • PGA Member preferred, not required.
  • CMAA Member preferred, not required.
  • HOA experience is a plus.
Skills
  • Strategic leadership, culture development, and team building.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be highly organized and efficient with a high attention to detail.
