The JobYour role will be responsible for the line management, development and day- to-day leadership of the UK Events Team, alongside direct responsibility for the planning and delivery of key events. This is a “doer–leader” role, reflecting the current size and maturity of the team. You will be expected to lead from the front, remaining actively involved in the delivery of events while taking accountability for team performance, coordination and output.
The team is responsible for the planning and implementation of internal and external events within the Medical Sector, including activity at our Medical Education Centre, national congresses, company events and mobile labs. You will directly manage the events team and ensure all activity is delivered in line with the agreed business strategy. The role reports to the Business Operations Manager and forms part of the wider operational leadership structure aligned to SLT objectives.
You will work closely with the Business Operations Manager to align priorities, manage resource planning and support the continued development of the function. As the team continues to grow, this role is expected to evolve, with increasing focus on strategic planning, budget ownership, process improvement and leadership, while maintaining appropriate oversight of delivery standards.
- Accountable for the successful planning and delivery of all UK event activity, both directly and through the events team
- Lead, prioritise and coordinate team workloads to ensure effective delivery across multiple concurrent events
- Maintain personal responsibility for delivery of key events, acting as lead coordinator where required
- Work closely with the Business Operations Manager to align event delivery with business priorities and evolving organisational needs
