The Tool Maker performs technical tool-making work, including designing, fabricating, modifying, repairing, and maintaining tools, fixtures, and gages to support manufacturing operations. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while ensuring that tooling meets customer and quality requirements.

The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma or GED; technical training is preferred, along with a minimum of three (3) years of tool making experience or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and experience. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, able to interpret technical drawings and blueprints, experienced with precision measuring equipment, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

The candidate should also have experience designing, fabricating, modifying, and repairing tooling, fixtures, and gages, along with the ability to troubleshoot problems and recommend process improvements.

• Modify, repair, and maintain parts, fixtures, tooling, and related equipment to support manufacturing operations.
• Design and produce new fixtures, tooling, loading fixtures, and gages based on production requirements.
• Operate tool room equipment safely and efficiently while following OSHA standards and company procedures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, models, and technical specifications to determine fabrication requirements.
• Evaluate product requirements to determine appropriate materials, processes, and equipment needed to build tooling and meet customer specifications.
• Assist machinists and production teams as needed to support manufacturing goals and resolve tooling challenges.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment and perform other duties as assigned.
