As the Community Education & Training Advocate, you will serve as one of The Shelter's ambassadors throughout Collier County. You'll educate businesses, healthcare providers, schools, law enforcement agencies, universities, community organizations, and other professionals on domestic violence, healthy relationships, prevention, trauma-informed response, and human trafficking. Your work will increase awareness, strengthen community partnerships, equip professionals to recognize and respond to abuse, and help create a safer community for survivors and their families.

- Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Education, Communications, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
- Experience delivering presentations, facilitating trainings, public speaking, or community outreach strongly preferred.
- Valid Florida Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
- Successful completion of The Shelter's Core Competency Training.
- Outstanding presentation and public speaking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional proficiency in English; bilingual Spanish or Haitian Creole strongly preferred.
- Strong relationship-building and networking abilities.
- Comfortable speaking to audiences of varying sizes and professional backgrounds.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and presentation platforms including PowerPoint, Canva, and Prezi.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments.
- Passion for survivor advocacy and community education.
- Deliver engaging educational presentations and trainings throughout Collier County on domestic violence, healthy relationships, prevention strategies, and human trafficking.
- Facilitate trainings for healthcare providers, educators, businesses, universities, criminal justice partners, law enforcement agencies, civil courts, correctional facilities, and other community organizations.
- Build and maintain collaborative partnerships with community stakeholders.
- Assist with implementing The Shelter's annual community education and outreach plan.
- Collaborate with the Primary Prevention Supervisor to coordinate Domestic Violence Awareness Month initiatives and community events.
- Maintain current, accurate, and brand-consistent educational materials and presentations.
- Track attendance, training outcomes, and required program data using agency reporting systems.
- Represent The Shelter professionally at community meetings, outreach events, and public forums.
- Provide survivor support, advocacy, referrals, and crisis intervention when appropriate.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission and operational needs of The Shelter.
