Moorings Park is seeking a dedicated and talented Unit Manager (RN) to join our team. The Unit Manager reports to the Director of Nursing. The Unit Manager is responsible for providing a system of care for residents in a manner and environment promoting maintenance and enhancement of each resident’s quality of life and provides dignity and respect in full recognition of each resident’s individuality.

This position includes hands‑on assistance and training to the nurses working under the direction of the Unit Manager.

• Responsible for the oversight of assigned patients, supervises and evaluates nursing interventions for residents, maintaining the standards of care in conjunction with nursing leadership
• Facilitates meetings and committees to handle resident care issues.
• Provides leadership, coaching and guidance; creating a working environment which promotes participation and works to retain and develop staff and utilizes the progressive discipline process.
• Identifies staff development needs and assists with implementation of comprehensive staff development program in conjunction with Staff Development Coordinator.
• Participates in planning, development and evaluation of nursing department programs and projects for achieving/sustaining nursing care delivery excellence
• Analyze unit performance metrics and implement strategies to improve efficiency and outcomes.
• Lead the development of the resident care plan and promote interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure comprehensive patient care.
