Position Summary

Moorings Park is seeking a dedicated and talented Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team. The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for providing the daily personal care services to assigned residents. It is the CNA's responsibility to maintain bodily and emotional comfort to the assigned residents and assist them to their maximum potential in all activities of daily living.

The CNA abides by and follows nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures of the facility and local, State and Federal regulations.

Key Contributions

• Participates in and receives the nursing report for all resident assignments upon reporting for duty.
• Provides personal hygiene to the resident in accordance with the resident's plan of care and as directed by the nurse, including bathing, oral care, grooming, dressing, and nail care.
• Serves between meal and bedtime snacks.
• Assists with the application of slings, elastic stockings, and splints.
• Answers resident calls promptly. Checks each resident routinely to ensure that his/her personal care needs are being met in accordance with his/her wishes.
• Provides for the resident's comfort. Turns resident every 2 hours or as ordered and ensures proper body alignment for those who cannot move.
