Emergency Veterinarian - Naples, FL
A veterinary specialty practice is seeking a Veterianarian
to join its emergency care team. This opportunity is ideal for a veterinarian who is passionate about emergency medicine, enjoys managing a diverse caseload of urgent and critical patients, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat emergency and critical care patients.
- Perform emergency procedures and surgical interventions within the scope of practice.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress throughout hospitalization.
- Collaborate with specialists, veterinary technicians, and support staff to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Communicate diagnoses, treatment options, and prognoses with clients and referring veterinarians.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
- Participate in case discussions, continuing education, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Uphold the highest standards of emergency medicine, patient safety, and client service.
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
- Active or eligible veterinary license in the state of practice.
- Internship training or experience in emergency medicine is preferred, but new graduates with a strong interest in emergency practice are encouraged to apply.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced clinical environment.
