This OPS Resource Management Technician position is located at Collier Seminole State Park in Naples, Florida, working 40 hours per week on invasive plant management and ecosystem restoration. The role involves identifying and removing non-native plants through mechanical and chemical means, performing equipment maintenance, and maintaining accurate field data. Applicants must be willing to work rotating shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays in outdoor conditions.
Keyqualifications:
- Valid driver's license
- Knowledge of Florida native and non-native plants and invasive species control techniques
- Ability to operate GPS devices, herbicide sprayers, heavy equipment, 4x4 trucks, and ATVs in variable terrain
- Ability to perform field work in adverse environmental conditions including heat, cold, and uneven terrain
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
