Job Overview

Responsibilities- Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs and desires.
- Use store inventory knowledge to provide customers with the best product information.
- Consistently greet customers and educate them on current promotions.
- Build relationships with customers and promote the Saks credit card to encourage repeat business.
- Process sales transactions accurately using the POS register system and adhere to checkout standards.
- Resolve customer issues by aligning with core values of trust, integrity, and respect.
- Achieve individual and store sales, customer acquisition, and loyalty program goals.
- Maintain the selling floor and fitting rooms, including resizing fixtures, moving go‑backs, executing markdowns, and signing fixtures and windows as needed.
- Complete markdown processes with urgency and accuracy according to company standards.
- Participate in store programs and selling events.
- Ensure merchandise displays meet brand standards.
- Follow Asset Protection controls and compliance procedures.
- Support shortage and theft awareness programs through company‑provided reporting methods.
- Efficiently complete tasks or special projects assigned by store leadership.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in retail, customer service, or sales.
- Proven sales track record and results‑driven mindset.
- Competitive drive and entrepreneurial confidence to succeed.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high‑standard customer service and build exceptional relationships.
- Thorough knowledge of the fashion industry and passion for sharing expertise.
- Ability to act promptly in routine situations and devise clear action plans for positive outcomes.
- Operational knowledge of radios, POS register, ticket scanners, and sensor removers.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Starting hourly rate between $15 and $17, depending on market, skills, experience, and qualifications.
