Audubon Country Club is seeking a creative, organized, and service-driven Merchandiser to support the daily retail operations of the Golf Shop. This position plays a key role in creating an exceptional member experience through attractive merchandise displays, accurate inventory management, proactive product replenishment, and member relations.
The Merchandiser works closely with the Golf Professional staff to ensure the Golf Shop remains visually appealing, properly stocked, and aligned with the club’s brand and member preferences. They will also assist with the appearance of the tennis shop. This role requires strong organizational skills, creativity, and a commitment to delivering excellent member service.
- Maintain attractive, organized, and seasonally appropriate merchandise displays throughout the Golf Shop
- Help coordinate special product launches, trunk shows, demo days, and promotional events
- Assist in merchandising seasonal collections, holiday displays, and tournament-related retail setups
- Receive, tag, price, and prepare incoming merchandise for floor placement
- Assist members with merchandise questions, sizing, and product recommendations
- Assist with product rotation to maximize sell-through and minimize aged inventory
- Assist with the Tennis shop appearance and operation
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and assist with periodic physical inventories
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in storage, back-stock, and receiving areas
- Support daily Golf Shop operations, including point-of-sale assistance when needed
- Retail, merchandising, or inventory management experience preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable lifting and moving boxes of merchandise (up to 30 lbs)
- Basic computer proficiency; point-of-sale or inventory software experience is a plus
- Ability to stand and move throughout the shop for extended periods
- Interest in golf, apparel, or luxury retail preferred
