Job Purpose
Working with the Boutique Management, the Operations Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day management of the non‑selling functions of the Boutique. Responsibilities include supervising shipping and receiving, after sales, inventory control, loss prevention, POS functions, facilities maintenance, and assisting in management of all areas of Boutique operations as needed.
Tasks and Responsibilities- Ensure that all shipping and receiving functions that affect store inventory are processed accurately by verifying purchase orders and ticketing, and by auditing the validation and verification reports.
- Maintain an orderly and neat stock and receiving area as well as general store maintenance, ensuring merchandise is properly ticketed.
- Participate in all inventory and cycle counts.
- Oversee compliance of all associates with established company policies, procedures, and standards, including safekeeping of company funds and property, personnel practices, security, inventory management, sales, and record‑keeping procedures.
- Train, coach, and lead all associates in the execution of operations tasks such as POS procedures, return procedures, alteration requests, safety, and security procedures.
- Monitor the accuracy of receiving, transfers, damages, and returns‑to‑vendor to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Ensure adequate security exists and that physical facilities align with safety codes and ordinances.
- Previous retail stock, shipping, or receiving experience.
- Produce and maintain operational reports and records to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all back‑of‑house operations are properly set up and organized.
- Lock and secure the store and oversee compliance with all opening/closing and security procedures.
- Assist with payroll management, scheduling of associates, and ensure compliance with payroll budgets.
- Help address problems in store service, efficiency, and productivity.
- Provide and inspire outstanding service to customers.
- At least 3+ years of retail stock associate experience with an operations background.
- Ability to work a full‑time schedule including varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and follow‑through skills.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, lift, and perform all required functions.
- Willingness to adhere to all company policies, procedures, regulations, and standards.
- Availability to travel as needed.
