Dal‑Tile is currently seeking an exceptional Part‑time Showroom Sales Specialist to join our team. As the Part‑time Showroom Sales Specialist
, you will provide interior design and product selection advice, product expertise, and thorough follow‑up to facilitate customer experience and influence sales and purchasing decisions. The showroom is used as a selling tool to drive specifications, sales, and brand awareness.
This is a part‑time position (max 29 hours) & Saturday work required.
Primary Responsibilities- Provide interior design advice and product expertise, facilitate tile and stone selection and project development/support, ensuring the completion of selection/sales.
- Log all client showroom visits, contact information, and detailed customer preference and selection notes in CMT; communicate with customers and internal team members to follow the lead, track, and close sales; report sales closures monthly.
- Prospect for new business with an emphasis on custom builders and residential designers; make outside sales calls as needed and follow up on leads to grow and drive business; log all customer showroom visits/appointments and related contact information.
- Maintain showroom samples and merchandising, including ordering, receiving, and maintaining models and displays; ship customer examples as needed to drive sales; keep contact with suppliers and locally sourced vendors to stay current on design and product offerings; comply with marketing standards for proper showroom merchandising, including new product launches and drops.
- Plan and host showroom tours and events for industry trade to drive customer sales; attend outside trade events to develop industry relationships and build brand awareness.
- Evening and weekend hours are required.
- A four‑year degree in a related field, four years of related experience, or a combination of a two‑year degree with two years of related experience.
- Competencies in sales, customer engagement, customer service, design, sketching, reading blueprints, Auto‑CAD (a plus), color coordination, interior design trends, customer buying habits, and creative thinking.
- Ability to approach unfamiliar situations and conceptualize innovative and imaginative solutions easily; use creative skills to document and sell them to clients.
- Computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and customer‑management tools (a plus).
- Excellent oral, written, listening, and interpersonal communication skills to build positive relationships with customers, team members, management, and external partners.
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms; walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; sometimes sit, climb, or balance; lift and move up to 80 pounds; close vision, peripheral vision, and adjust focus; occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; varied temperatures; exposure to moving mechanical parts;
