Position Type: Full Time
Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access control activities, and when appropriate, emergency response actions at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations calmly, documenting observations and reporting security‑related concerns according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and unusual behavior.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and public‑facing spaces, verifying credentials and permissions while following post orders and applicable use‑of‑force guidelines.
• Assist with de‑escalation, provide directions and information, and coordinate with supervisors, first responders, and local authorities during security‑related events or emergencies.

• Armed guard card or license.
• At least 21 years of age.
• DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or police academy certificate or corrections academy certificate.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation, compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Participation in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
