Overnight Security Supervisor

About the Role

The Security Supervisor is responsible for the day‑to‑day security operations of the resort, ensuring the safety and security of guests, employees, and property. This overnight position primarily covers the 11 PM–7 AM shift.

• Assist the Director of Security and Assistant Director of Security with protecting guests, patrons, and associates, their property, and hotel premises.
• Supervise the day‑to‑day security force, overseeing the security office, phone & CCTV monitoring, vendor/visitor access, key control, lost‑and‑found, and communication devices.
• Promote safety awareness, provide training, and assist with Workers’ Compensation reports.
• Control loading‑dock operations to create a respectful environment.
• Provide basic security services: guest room lock problems, safe malfunctions, door issues, and patrol safety/hazard corrections.
• Write incident reports, conduct investigations, maintain logs, and follow up on findings.
• Direct security personnel on policy and procedure matters.
• Respond to all emergency calls, including the Emergency Response Team, and be familiar with fire/life‑safety systems.
• Mediate non‑emergency calls, minor injuries, disputes, and stressful issues; provide First Aid and CPR.
• Assist with safety training (fire life safety, OSHA, TIPS, BBP, Haz‑Com, etc.).
• Review event materials for accurate information.
• Conduct VIP escorts in a professional manner.
• Assume additional security duties in the absence of the Director of Security.

• Stand or walk for extended periods, patrol indoor and outdoor areas, work in various weather conditions, climb stairs, lift or carry up to 50 lb, and maintain alertness during long shifts, including overnights.

• High‑school education or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Preferred: 2 years of law‑enforcement or security experience.
• Ability to walk long distances during patrols and stand for extended periods.
