Collier County Public Schools is seeking a skilled and dedicated Carpenter to join our Maintenance Department. This role is essential to maintaining the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of our school facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect, repair, install, and construct walls, doors, cabinets, dividers, bookcases, hardware, floor coverings, and other carpentry-related items.
- Maintain technical proficiency in carpentry installation, diagnostics, and repairs.
- Work independently, exercising sound judgment and initiative.
- Purchase and maintain personal hand tools required for the job.
- Follow district procedures for supply and equipment expenditures, including obtaining prior approvals.
- Ensure proper use of district-provided tools, equipment, and vehicles.
- Accurately log daily work hours by work order and location.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment appropriately.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of power tools, hand tools, and carpentry materials.
(If assigned) Perform locksmith duties including installation, maintenance, and repair of building locks, keys, and related hardware.
Qualifications- Proven experience in carpentry and facility maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and equipment usage.
- Experience with locksmith responsibilities is a plus.
