Millwork Installer / Field Craftsman

VP of Field Operations

Installs high-end custom millwork packages, built‑in cabinetry and other goods, using a variety of machines and hand tools. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the woodworking/installation field. Relies heavily on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

• Understand, recognize, and produce monumentally high craftsmanship and deliver white‑glove customer service.
• Possess an installer’s skill set, including reading blueprints, layout and measurement, understanding of plumb, level, and square, knowledge of material properties, finishing touches and damage prevention.
• Able to solve problems and make decisions in imperfect field conditions and work with other businesses on site.
• Knowledge of general hardware and integration into the installation.
• Develop strong communication with Project Manager to ensure installation is done properly and according to schedule.
• Attend final inspection meetings on all projects and create a Post Completion Review.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and be trained to drive the company’s delivery trucks.
• Must be flexible and able to travel.
• Prepare daily reports that address developments in areas of responsibility, such as materials, changes to jobs and on‑site progress.
• Maintain the ability to remain objective and proactive, follow through with business priorities, and manage quality initiatives throughout the installation phase of the operation.
• Identify and eliminate company‑wide non‑value‑added activities by working with Operations Management to implement effective corrective and preventive actions through continuous improvement.
• Contribute to problem‑solving efforts on selected projects to improve quality and reduce costs.
• Build and maintain confidence of company personnel by educating them on best management practices, modern technologies and their uses.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  Work Hours:
  
  7:00–3:30 M‑F.
• Abide by all company policies, procedures and applicable laws.
• Other responsibilities include training, events, resources, problem resolution, and fostering a culture of love, kindness, fairness and honesty.

• High school diploma or its equivalent preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in the installation field.
• Computer skills including AutoCAD, Windows‑based applications, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong mathematical aptitude.
• Fluent in the English language.
• Communication, organizational and interpersonal skills are essential.

Possession of a valid State of Florida Driver License with a clean driving record in accordance with the company’s insurance carrier’s standards may be required.
