About the role What the work is actually like- Outside all day in cold, rain, and sometimes snow
- 10+ hour days, 6 days a week during peak season
- Work on ladders and roofs daily—comfort with heights required
- Physical work: climbing, carrying equipment, repetitive overhead tasks
- Season is compressed: ~3‑4 months of intense work (potential for extended season)
Pay: $1,200–$1,800 per week depending on experience and role
Schedule:
Full‑time seasonal, training starts September 2026
Training:
Provided—no prior Christmas lighting experience needed
- Install Christmas lighting on homes and commercial buildings
- Work on ladders (up to 32 ft), roofs, and occasionally in trees or on cherry pickers
- Hang, clip, and staple light strands along rooflines, trees, and structures
- Work in 2‑person crews serving residential clients
- Potential for takedown work through January/February (not guaranteed for all hires)
- Experience with a full season of physical outdoor work (landscaping, roofing, painting, construction, tree trimming, guiding, wildfire crews)
- Comfortable with heights and changing weather
- Reliability: shows up on time and finishes what they start
- Works well on a 2‑person team with minimal supervision
- Consistent biweekly pay throughout the season
- Paid training before the season starts
- Crew‑based work—partnered, not solitary
- Housing assistance may be available for out‑of‑area candidates
- A seasonal gig that bridges the gap between your main season and spring
