About the role What the work is actually like
  • Outside all day in cold, rain, and sometimes snow
  • 10+ hour days, 6 days a week during peak season
  • Work on ladders and roofs daily—comfort with heights required
  • Physical work: climbing, carrying equipment, repetitive overhead tasks
  • Season is compressed: ~3‑4 months of intense work (potential for extended season)

Pay: $1,200–$1,800 per week depending on experience and role

Schedule:

Full‑time seasonal, training starts September 2026

Training:
Provided—no prior Christmas lighting experience needed

What you'll do
  • Install Christmas lighting on homes and commercial buildings
  • Work on ladders (up to 32 ft), roofs, and occasionally in trees or on cherry pickers
  • Hang, clip, and staple light strands along rooflines, trees, and structures
  • Work in 2‑person crews serving residential clients
  • Potential for takedown work through January/February (not guaranteed for all hires)
Qualifications
  • Experience with a full season of physical outdoor work (landscaping, roofing, painting, construction, tree trimming, guiding, wildfire crews)
  • Comfortable with heights and changing weather
  • Reliability: shows up on time and finishes what they start
  • Works well on a 2‑person team with minimal supervision
