Brief Job Description
The Pilot I position is responsible for the safe operation of District aircraft as Pilot in Command while conducting aerial treatment missions in the Skyvan (SC-7), MD500D, and Bell
407GXi aircraft. The ideal candidate is an FAA Commercial Pilot with Rotorcraft-Helicopter and Airplane Multi-Engine Land ratings and a preferred minimum of 1,500 hours of total flight time. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team focused on innovation and operational excellence. This position works closely with the Chief Pilot and is based on-site at the District’s aviation facility.

Minimum Qualifications- FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Airplane Multi-Engine Land Rating
- FAA Instrument Rating
- FAA Class II Medical Certificate
- Valid Florida Class E Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Intermediate computer skills with the ability to learn and operate internal programs
- Ability to read and understand chemical labeling instructions
- FAA Commercial Pilot with Rotorcraft-Helicopter and Airplane Multi-Engine Land ratings
- Experience with integrated pest management practices and mosquito control operations
- Certified in the State of Florida Public Health Pest Control and Aerial Pesticide Applicator License within six months of hire
