Activity Assistant Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ohio STNA certification and 1-2 years of long-term care experience preferred
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn required software
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow directions and respond promptly

What will I do as an Activity Assistant?

• Help plan, implement, and evaluate activities that support residents' social, recreational, emotional, and spiritual needs
• Encourage resident participation in group programs, hobbies, crafts, religious activities, and community outings
• Build positive relationships with residents and families while creating a warm, engaging environment
• Assist with activity schedules, attendance records, program evaluations, supplies, and other required documentation
• Provide individual visits and activities for residents who are unable to attend group programs
• Help transport residents to outings and coordinate activities with families and other departments
• Observe and promptly report changes in residents' conditions, safety concerns, hazards, or suspected abuse or neglect
• Protect resident confidentiality and follow all safety, emergency, and organizational procedures
