Material Handler

* FORKLIFT EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
* This position is located in Napoleon, Ohio and is a brownfield plant start-up. The facility will be a Dana final assembly plant for the Ford Bronco and Ranger products

Currently Hiring for 2nd shift: 4pm-12am. Rate: $18.00 + 0.50 shift differential

Responsibilities:

* Transport Materials and inventory - Load, unload, pick, put away, consolidate, stack and stage products and materials using a forklift, pallet jack, tugger, turret or other power equipment in accordance with FIFO policy.

* Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies

* Collects and properly disposes of scrap bracing, cardboard, trash, and strapping; maintains a safe and clean work environment.

* Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory.

* Confirms shipping details or special instructions; expedites shipments that affect the manufacturing process schedule.

* Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.

* Prepares and maintains records of materials received and shipped including dates of transactions, locations, and other pertinent information.

* Conduct cycle counts, which includes verifying accuracy of quantity of materials

* Load finished goods for shipment to customers with industrial truck / material handling equipment

* Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

* High School Diploma or GED preferred.

* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

* Prolonged periods of standing & walking

* Written and verbal communication skills

* Must be willing to operate all power equipment utilized within the Materials department
