Production Manager
Job Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading a manufacturing production team to work injury‑free/incident–free in a manufacturing environment. They provide leadership and direction that motivates the team to meet all productivity, safety, and quality goals, continually improve performance, and embrace changes to help the team and company meet production standards. The role typically leads a team of 10–20 members.

Job Responsibilities- Ensures a safe workplace and a safety mindset in all activities.
- Follows and enforces all company policies, standards, and safety requirements.
- Promotes safety excellence through employee involvement, ownership, and accountability to proactively eliminate hazards.
- Hires, schedules, and supervises full‑time and temporary staff.
- Provides coaching and corrective feedback in a timely manner and administers disciplinary processes as necessary.
- Conducts quarterly and annual performance reviews for all team members.
- Facilitates team development, skill growth, problem‑solving, and resolution.
- Oversees all process documentation and training procedures for consistency of operational tasks and workplace safety and cleanliness.
- Ensures a quality product is produced and all quality processes are followed.
- Collaborates with Quality Control, Engineering, and Maintenance to improve quality, streamline efficiencies, and reduce operating expenses.
- Tracks productivity for measured efficiency and improvement, operating at or below the budgeted production cost using lean manufacturing procedures and cross‑training.
- Oversees inventory control procedures to consistently achieve inventory accuracy goals.
- Assists with troubleshooting and solving production issues.
- Performs other duties as requested by management.
- Demonstrated leadership in safety and environmental compliance.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills.
- Ability to coach, develop, and build a strong team of employees.
- Strong listening and clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to effectively resolve conflict.
- Skilled at working effectively with cross‑functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a results‑oriented environment.
- Minimum one year of supervisory experience required; manufacturing experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Basic mathematical skills such as calculating percentages and volumes.
- Physical demands: walking, standing, bending, stretching, using hands and fingers to hold, grasp, push, and lift items; plant temperatures cool to hot; noise level moderate to high; lifting up to 40 lbs. with assistance if needed.
