Job SummaryThe Maintenance Technician maintains the safety and functionality of machines, equipment, building and grounds to ensure efficient production of products.
Job Responsibilities- Removes and installs machine components to ensure the safe and efficient operation of production equipment
- Troubleshoots all systems to determine causes of machine or equipment failure and recommends solutions for repair
- Collaborates with Machine Operators, Process Technicians, and Material Handlers to understand the nature of machine failures or component fabrication needs
- Records the details of machine malfunctions and the appropriate adjustments as required
- Conducts test runs of machine adjustments to ensure proper machine functionality and alignment with quality standards
- Maintains the cleanliness, functionality, and safety of maintenance equipment, tools and work areas
- Repairs building and grounds equipment, fixtures and tools as necessary to ensure the safety of all employees
- Performs preventative maintenance and inspections on facility equipment as scheduled
- Provides information to contractors regarding maintenance related functions
- Completes all required safety permits, assessments, and practices relating to assigned tasks
- Experience in crane and rigging operations
- Experience in hydraulic and schematic repairs
- Experience working with electrical 460vac and electrical schematics
- Forklift training and certification will be provided by company as necessary
- Lockout/Tag out authorized training provided
- Hot work training provided
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
