JAC Products offers a Quality Manager position in Napoleon, OH. The role leads the quality department, maintains focus on quality assurance in manufacturing, and manages containment and customer concerns.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain a quality system that ensures all products produced by the manufacturing facility meet and exceed customer specifications.
- Develop and train quality staff.
- Lead the organization to drive quick and effective resolution of quality issues and containment.
- Manage quality lab activities.
- Ensure PPAP and documentation for new product launches, transfers, and engineering changes.
- Report quality activities and priorities through monthly metrics, weekly operations reports, containment reports, customer scorecards, and internal audits.
- Review and validate corrective actions for the facility, driving solid corrective actions and problem‑solving skills within the organization.
- Approve, monitor and drive resolution of customer representative costs, sorting and containment for the facility.
- Manage calibration, annual layouts, CMM, Gage R&R, and lab testing for the facility.
- Manage internal audits and resulting corrective actions, driving results across findings throughout the facility.
- Foster and maintain a team‑oriented environment that allows individual differences and supports growth.
- Strong understanding of SPC, statistical analysis and problem‑solving.
- Knowledge of CMM and layout reports (GD&T).
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Leadership, management and motivation skills.
- Problem‑solving capabilities – mechanical and numerical utilizing tools (8D, 5Y, fishbone, etc.).
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Concepts and Principles.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quality Systems Management or equivalent.
- Five to seven years in quality, manufacturing, and manufacturing engineering.
- Three years in a management role.
- Black Belt in Six Sigma.
