Quality Manager

Quality Manager - Napoleon, OH

Lead the quality department and maintain focus on quality assurance in the manufacturing process, managing containment impact and customer concerns.

• Develop and maintain a quality system that ensures all products meet and exceed customer specifications.
• Develop and train quality staff.
• Lead the organization to drive quick and effective resolution of quality issues and containment.
• Manage quality lab activities.
• Assure PPAP and documentation for new product launches, transfers, and engineering changes.
• Report quality activities and priorities through monthly metrics, weekly operations report,
  containment report, customer scorecards, and internal audits.
• Review and validate all corrective actions for the facility, driving solid problem‑solving skills and a fast response process.
• Approve, monitor, and drive resolution of all customer representative costs, sorting and containment for the facility.
• Manage calibration, annual layouts, CMM, Gage R&R and lab testing.
• Manage internal audits and corrective actions, driving read‑across of findings throughout the facility.

• Foster a team‑oriented environment that allows for individual differences and growth.
• Strong understanding of SPC, statistical analysis, and problem solving.
• Knowledge of CMM, layout reports (GD&T).
• Advanced level in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Leadership, management, and motivation skills.
• Problem‑solving capabilities using tools such as 8D, 5Y, fishbone, etc.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts and principles.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quality Systems Management or equivalent.

• 5 to 7 years of experience in quality, manufacturing, and manufacturing engineering.
• 3 years in a management role.
• Black belt in Six Sigma.
