Job OverviewAs a Field Merchandiser Floater you will work independently to showcase organization and time management skills, establish retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark to customers. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations when needed. Occasionally, you may work with products from other companies in stores you service.
Salary and Schedule Details- Your starting hourly pay rate will be $13.00-$15.00 per hour depending on your skills and experience.
- We provide paid training, delivered through live, hands‑on instruction as well as virtual classroom training.

- This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
- Average weekly hours for this position are between 2-5 hours per week.
- Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
- Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
You’ll perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores such as grocery stores, drug stores, department stores, and mass retailers. The role has three major components:
- Day‑to‑day engagement:
Use a mobile device provided by Hallmark to restock, organize, and monitor the inventory of Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. Use technology to communicate with your supervisor, report time, provide feedback, and complete required surveys. Maintain professional and courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers. You are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at your assigned stores. - Holiday support:
Expect additional days and extended hours during major holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. You may be required to work on the actual holiday itself, including weekends. - Department resets:
Occasionally be part of a team responsible for installations, fixture building, and relocating card departments and products. You will be notified two weeks in advance for remodel assignments, which may include evenings or weekends. - Team collaboration:
Support other team members as needed within your territory.
This is a physically demanding job. You will work on the sales floor and in back stockrooms, consistently pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You must be able to kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the day, and you may need to climb stairs and use step ladders.
BasicQualifications
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Ability to lift and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
- Access to Wi‑Fi and the internet.
- Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
