Meat Cutter

Spartan Nash Associates, LLC is seeking a Meat Cutter to join our retail team. In this on site role, you will cut, trim, and prepare fresh meat products to company and regulatory standards, ensuring attractive, well stocked cases. You'll follow strict food safety and sanitation practices, properly label, weigh, and price products, and help monitor inventory and minimize shrink. The Meat Cutter provides friendly, knowledgeable service, answers product and cooking questions, and works closely with teammates to support promotions and a clean, efficient meat department aligned with our people first culture.

Responsibilities

• Cut, trim, and prepare fresh meat products to company specifications
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and HACCP guidelines
• Set, stock, and rotate meat cases for attractive merchandising
• Weigh, wrap, label, and price meat accurately
• Assist customers with product selection, cooking methods, and special orders
• Monitor inventory, assist with ordering, and help minimize shrink and waste
• Operate knives, saws, and related equipment safely
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, tools, and equipment
• Support promotions and merchandising plans from store leadership
• Work collaboratively with meat and store team members to meet department goals
