About the Role

We’re hiring a Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on our truck fleet and paving equipment. This role plays a critical part in minimizing downtime, supporting field crews, and keeping operations moving safely and efficiently.

This is a full‑time position with flexibility required to support operational needs.

What You’ll Do
  • Perform preventative maintenance on dump trucks, pavers, and related equipment
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and complete efficient, accurate repairs
  • Retrieve and repair disabled vehicles as needed
  • Maintain detailed equipment and maintenance logs
  • Use diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot systems
  • Perform welding and burning tasks as required
  • Follow all safety regulations and shop procedures
  • Maintain regular in‑person attendance
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of standing and working in a shop environment
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to safely access and navigate the facility, including climbing ladders
  • Willingness to work outside normal business hours as operational needs require
What You Bring
  • Strong experience repairing and maintaining trucks and heavy equipment
  • Knowledge of diesel engines, drive trains, hydraulic, electrical, and fuel systems
  • Welding and burning skills preferred
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools (Cummins Insight, WABCO Tool Box, Allison DOC preferred)
  • Possession of mechanic’s tools
  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), or willingness to obtain within 12 months
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Five or more years of fleet or heavy equipment maintenance experience preferred
