AIS, Inc. is recruiting Vessel Strike Avoidance Protected Species Observers (VSAOs) to deploy on a squid trawl survey vessel off the New York coast. Observers will record data on protected species sightings and advise the crew on real-time mitigation actions.
These offshore positions operate in 24/7 shifts on multiple trips starting in late summer 2026. NMFS PSO approval letters and US work eligibility are required.
