POAH Communities is seeking a highly qualified individual to serve as Maintenance Technician
. This individual will be a bright and dynamic leader with hand-on experience. Narragansett Properties:
Beach winds Apartments, Fieldstone Apartments and Water's Edge Apartments all located in the quiet suburban beach town of Narragansett, RI. Beachwood Apartments is a small, 56-unit affordable housing development that has 1-and 2-bedroom apartments and serves residents who are 62 or over, handicapped and/or disabled. Fieldstone Apartments is a 24-unit affordable housing development that serves those with very low income. The buildings are two-stories and there is ample free parking and local bus service available.

Waters Edge Apartments is a 32-unit affordable housing development and offers a variety of studios, 1- 2- and 3-bedroom apartments in two-story buildings. Waters Edge Apartments:

• Insuring a safe, secure and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors and staff.
• Being knowledgeable of pertinent laws and EPA and OSHA regulations.
• Being aware of the condition of apartment property throughout the community and immediately initiate action to correct unsafe conditions.
• Scheduling and performing routine preventative maintenance on all appropriate equipment.
• Performing work area clean-up and safety related duties.
• Diagnosing and perform minor and routine maintenance/repairs.
• Insuring all make-ready repairs and services are completed.
• Inspecting and helping coordinate all needed make-ready repairs and services.
• Assisting in keeping grounds neat and clean. Rake, sweep, shovel as necessary.

• Must have at least 1 year experience in apartment maintenance.
• High School diploma or GED required. HVAC certification preferred.
• Must have a valid Driver's License and automobile insurance coverage as use of personal vehicle may be required.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule with weekends and on-call basis as necessary.
