Estimator, Construction, Building & Residential Construction

Overview

We are currently looking for a talented individual to serve as a Drywall Estimator for our growing team. This individual will play a pivotal role in assessing project costs, preparing bids, and collaborating with project managers and clients to assist in the delivery of comprehensive and competitive bids.

• Assemble accurate and well organized estimates and proposals in a timely manner
• Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate
• Complete Budgeting and Scheduling for projects
• Maintain relationships with vendors and clients
• Analyze project blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to accurately estimate materials, labor, and equipment required for installation
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, contractors, and clients to clarify requirements and specifications.
• Utilize estimating software and tools to generate detailed and accurate cost estimates
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, material costs, and labor rates to ensure competitive pricing
• Review and negotiate contracts, change orders, and other project documents as needed
• Address inquiries, clarify specifications, and resolve issues related to cost estimation to provide ongoing support to project teams.
• Assist jobsite staff with estimates after bid award
• Maintain good relationship with suppliers and subcontractors
• Supervise and train estimating staff
• Reflect honesty, integrity, consistency, positivity, and patience in all aspects of responsibility

• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Drywall Estimator in the construction industry, focusing on drywall installations
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction blueprints, specifications, and technical documents
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to accurately quantify materials, labor, and equipment requirements
• Extensive knowledge of drywall construction methods, materials, and building codes
• Experience using construction estimating software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to producing accurate and thorough cost estimates.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
