POSITION: Continuing Substitute Advanced Manufacturing CTE Teacher
LOCATION: Nashua High School South
REPORTS TO: Director of CTE
COORDINATES WITH: Director of CTE, Building Principal, Assistant Principals, Department Head, Office Manager, NH Department of Education
WORK YEAR: 2025 - 2026 School Year, 184 Days
SALARY RANGE: $49,000 - $96,991
QUALIFICATIONS: Teaching applicants must be NH certified, have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, and have relevant coursework in Manufacturing/CTE Teaching.
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIESThe Nashua Technology Center (NTC) is seeking a dynamic Advanced Manufacturing Teacher to develop and deliver an engaging Career and Technical Education (CTE) program focused on advanced manufacturing with an emphasis on machining, fabrication, and welding. We value career-change candidates with well-developed industry technical skills, a team-focused approach, and, if possible, experience training employees.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Deliver engaging instruction on the full machine shop production process.
- Manage our machine shop. Collaborate and communicate supply, repair, and future needs.
- Teach and reinforce safety practices and situational awareness at all times.
- Support students in earning industry-recognized certifications.
- Maintain a structured, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Collaborate with local industry on program design and provide work-based learning experiences for students, including class speakers, site tours, job shadows, internships, and apprenticeships.
- Collaborate with aligned post-secondary educational institutions to establish formal pathways and support students' awareness and knowledge of their options, including through class speakers and college visits.
- Participate in curriculum development, program evaluation, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Maintain accurate records, lesson plans, and documentation in alignment with district and state CTE requirements.
- Serve as a positive role model demonstrating professionalism, ethics, fairness, teamwork, safety, and leadership.
- Eligibility for New Hampshire CTE or educator certification (or ability to obtain).
- Background in manufacturing or a closely related field.
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to meet physical demands related to demonstrations, simulations, and fitness activities.
- Ability to teach safety procedures and OSHA standards.
