POSITION: STEAM Teacher

LOCATION:

REPORTS TO:

Principal

COORDINATES WITH:
Principal, Assistant Principal, and other staff members

WORK YEAR:  School Year (184 days)

SALARY: $49,000 - $100,386 Per Year - Contractual

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The STEAM Teacher is responsible for designing and delivering engaging, inquiry-based instruction in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. The role emphasizes hands-on learning, problem-solving, critical thinking, and real-world applications to prepare students for future academic and career success in STEAM fields.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor's degree in Education, STEAM field, or related field required.

* Valid New Hampshire Department of Education teaching certification required.

* Strong content knowledge in one or more STEAM subjects.

* Experience with hands-on, inquiry-based, or project-based learning.

* Ability to effectively integrate technology into instruction.

* Strong classroom management and communication skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Plan and deliver STEAM lessons aligned with curriculum standards and learning objectives

* Integrate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through project-based and interdisciplinary instruction

* Facilitate hands-on experiments, engineering challenges, and design-thinking activities

* Incorporate technology tools such as coding platforms, robotics kits, simulations, and data-analysis software

* Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and abilities

* Assess student learning through formative and summative evaluations, projects, and presentations

* Foster creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking in the classroom

* Maintain a safe, organized, and inclusive learning environment

* Collaborate with colleagues to align instruction and integrate STEAM across subject areas

* Communicate regularly with students, parents, and school staff regarding progress and expectations

* Participate in professional development and stay current with STEAM education trends
