Museum Interpreter; Tour Guide

We are hiring:
Museum Interpreter (Tour Guide)

This is a part-time, in-person, hourly seasonal (May-October) position with a flexible schedule.

• Greet groups of visitors and launch a video orientation.
• Present information about Shaker history, community, and religion to Museum visitors.
• Interpret the Enfield Shaker site.
• Treat all visitors with respect, dignity, and kindness.
• Perform and adhere to opening and closing procedures.
• Assist in Museum Gift Shop when necessary.
• Assist with light-duty housekeeping tasks when necessary.
• Other duties as requested by the supervising staff.
• Must be able to work some weekends between May and October.

• Ability to stand or walk for more than 30 minutes without sitting down.
• Ability to go up and down stairs multiple times a day.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required; college students are invited to apply.
• Interest in museum studies, public history, or historic preservation is desirable.
