2nd Grade Teacher

Saint Christopher Academy is growing and in sesrch of a full time 2nd grade tracher. Our teachers provide a structured, supportive learning environment for students and work closely with families to foster academic growth and character development. The school emphasizes strong foundational skills, respectful collaboration, and a commitment to student success.

The teacher will plan and deliver daily lessons aligned with grade-level standards, incorporating a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs. Responsibilities include managing the classroom environment, assessing student progress, providing feedback, and maintaining accurate records. The teacher will communicate regularly with families and colleagues, participate in school meetings and professional development, and contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture.

Additional duties may include supervising students during non-instructional times and supporting school events and activities.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in Teaching and Elementary Education, with experience supporting young learners’ academic and social development.
• Ability to design and implement Curriculum Development and Education plans that align with standards and school goals.
• Strong Communication skills for effective interaction with students, families, and colleagues.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field; valid state teaching certification for elementary grades or eligibility to obtain it.
• Experience with differentiated instruction, classroom management, and assessment practices.
• Commitment to creating an inclusive, respectful learning environment that supports diverse backgrounds and abilities.
• Capacity to collaborate on grade-level and school-wide initiatives and participate in ongoing professional learning.
