QualificationsNH certified educator in a Special Education categorical area. Master's degree in Special Education or School Psychology with knowledge of statutes related to special education. Seeking a highly motivated, resourceful self-starter who possesses excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills with attention to detail. Able to work independently, attend court and travel. Special Ed Administration Certification Preferred.
Summary Of ResponsibilitiesThe Out of District Coordinator will place and monitor progress of special education students in out of district placements when the student s team has determined it to be the least restrictive educational setting. This process includes visiting out of district placement possibilities to determine if appropriate in meeting the student s needs, attending placement meetings and working assertively with the out-of-district facility toward the achievement of student goals outlines in the IEP so that student can successfully return to public school programs.
Collaborates with special education staff, courts, agencies, service providers, parents, public and private schools to address the educational needs of students. Provides the Director of Special Education with reports on student progress.
